Kerala Coast Digitization
With the objective of making coastal management and planning in the State of Kerala more scientific and efficient, the Kerala Coast Digitization project has been successfully implemented. During the period from 2010 to 2020, the entire coastline of Kerala, extending to approximately 590 kilometres, was comprehensively digitized using modern survey techniques, GIS, and digital mapping technologies.
This digital coastal database serves as a fundamental source of information for various coastal development, conservation, and security-related activities.
